The Tuareg are descended from Berbers from ancient Saharan peoples. Following the scramble for Africa, Tuareg territory was artificially divided into modern nations: Niger, Mali, Algeria, Libya, and Burkina Faso. The Tuareg adopted camel nomadism from camel-herding Arabs about two thousand years ago, .and camel-herding has become the Taureg’s distinctive form of social organization,

Pray for the few Christian believers among the Tuareg, that they will live exemplary lives and reveal the Lord’s character through his Spirit.

Pray that these few believers would become mature in the faith.  Ask God to give them a heart to share the Gospel message with their friends.

Pray for improved living conditions for the Tuareg, and for good schools for their children so they can be well prepared to live in the 21st century.
