Traditionally South Africa is a religious country, three out of every four claim to be Christian, and these numbers are slowly increasing. There are many mainline and smaller independent churches. The church is on the frontline of confronting the nation’s challenges; like the HIV/AIDS epidemic, ministries to the poor and disadvantaged, and work on racial reconciliation.

Pray for healing, hope, and support for those affected by HIV/AIDS.

Pray that people who are at risk for HIV infection will understand their risks and take measures to prevent such infection.
Pray for racial reconciliation and healing between the various cultures and churches in South Africa.
