Geographically and politically India, with a population of 1.2 billion people,
dominates South Asia and the Indian Ocean. The life and health of the Church
depend on the proper development of pastors, teachers, evangelists and
missionaries. In Indian churches, poor discipling and lack of teaching and
modelling of biblical life and leadership are problems.

Pray for the development of new, creative ways for multiplying leaders
in India.
Pray that residential training institutions in India will move beyond the
Western model to more non-formal education that will suitably

address the local training challenge.
Missionary Attrition: A sudden disengagement from mission field or ministry work.
Pray against misunderstandings and unresolved conflicts in the
missionary community which may lead to untimely disengagement of
missionaries from their sending churches, agencies or organizations.
Pray against all strategies of the enemy which seek to strike the
shepherd so that the sheep will scatter in mission.
Ask the Lord to release wisdom and understanding amongst
missionaries and their churches and agencies.
