Omega Project 2 News to our Partners – September 2021

Dear Faithful Reader & Partner,

Directing His church through His Word we celebrated September as the month of “God’s Power”.
In various messages deriving therefrom for the church during the month; We saw that God in his sovereignty may choose to do whatever he wills and that what he can do far exceeds anything His Church can ever dream or imagine, much less ask for.
God’s sovereignty means our prayers can be answered far beyond even what we ask.
We saw that God manifests his great power in many ways.

  • Most obviously, He manifested it when he created the world.
  • He used that kind of power to bring Jews and Gentiles together and form them into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
  • The power we see in creation and in the church is the power of God that works in us in the love relationship of Spirit aided prayer.
  • Finally, we saw that the power God has manifested and continues to display has a purpose—to bring glory to him from the nations. All that God has done is to resound to his glory forever.

The messages were woven together through our Sunday School rally, teaching us that the Sunday school is the relevant tool, or the engine room, of God’s power, practically geared to help His Church achieve Christlike development.
As we see and recognize God’s power and work in His Church and in Christ, we should humble ourselves to respond in praise and worship, giving God glory because God is building a people of power and He is making a people of praise that will march through this land by His Spirit and will glorify His precious name among the nations.

Dear friend, I ask that you also join us to grow in this grace and in the knowledge and power of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, walking worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him in whatsoever plough you lay your hands to serve God.  Knowing that the just shall live by faith: and that, if any man draw back, God shall have no pleasure in such a believer.  As the apostle concluded in Hebrews 10:39, we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but we are of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

I am confident that God will release His power for you to do His will, and so, encourage you to present your vessels to Him to fill you with his presence and Power.
1 Peter 1:3 reminds us that by “…His divine power [God] has given to us ALL things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue”
Everything you need is already made available by His divine power.
Consequently, we must turn our eyes unto Jesus, seek His wonderful face earnestly in prayers, in fasting, in study and in fellowship to ensure a steadfast flow of His divine power.

Maranatha!

“It’s good work you’re doing, helping these travellers on their way, hospitality worthy of God himself! They set out under the banner of the Name, and get no help from unbelievers. So, they deserve any support we can give them. In providing meals and a bed, we become their companions in spreading the Truth.”

Greetings from Ile-Ife,
Missions Report for the month of September from Ile-Ife
By Ruth Orimoloye.

Blessed be the Lord who has blessed us with sufficient grace needed for the ministrieal challenge of the month.
Two weeks of the month took me out of the town by invitation either in partnership or networking.
The first week was an invitation to Reconciliation House in Akure from the first day of September to the fifth day of month which gave us an opportunity to partake in the ” Ever Increasing Glory” of TRANS, Towards Revival Among the Nations.
The second week was an invitation to Solution Chapel in Iseyin, Oyo state for Discipleship on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th September, 2021.
The third week was an invitation to the Great Grace Conference which was another opportunity to participate in Missions Awareness and Mobilization. This took place from Thursday 23rd to Saturday 25th, 2021.
While the other third Sunday was for Follow up of Missions Training request letter which had been submitted to a Church office during the week. And the last one met me in my Church.

PRAYERS AND INTERCESSIONS.
This took place on both physical and virtual platforms as engage in Intercessions for our Nation, community and the Church’s special Annual Teenagers Retreat.

CMF CHAPTER FELLOWSHIP.
This is a monthly meeting of the Ministry’s Supporters which holds once in a month. This held on the 19th of September, 2021.
We engage in online Mobilizations, Follow up and Muslim Evangelism as well as Visitation to some families whom we have been reaching out to.

TESTIMONY.
We give thanks to God for the addition of four people to the Chapter Fellowship, which was a result of the Short-term Mission Training conducted last month.

We give thanks to the Almighty God for the journey mercies granted during each of the journeys.
We appreciate your love and consistent support sir and ma. May the Lord bless you all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen

August Report

We give thanks to the Lord for His unflinching faithfulness to us in the month. We started the month with the Follow up of the work of the month of July. The first week was used to give an instructive video with prayer per day with the new converts which are the fruit of the last three days of the month program.

INTERCESSIONS
The Intercessions Prayer continue both on group physical gatherings and online platform meetings. The Ministry’s, Christian Missionary Foundation’s Intercessory Prayer Team met for quarterly Retreat from Friday the 6th to Sunday the 8th, 2021 at Idere. And on the third Friday of the month the Team also had the online monthly Intercessory meeting.

TRAINING.
We had opportunity of both online and physical Trainings: As we discover the multitudes  of people  on the internet we see the abundant opportunities we have as we engage the media for evangelism.
This month we had both online Training for digital evangelism targeting individuals, groups of people by Foundation of Media Ministry from 15th to 22nd August and the second one targeting the Muslims by Love A Muslim ( LAM ).

We organized a Short-Term Missions Training in conjunction with the Christian Association of Nigeria in Ile-Ife from 23rd to 27th of August, 2021. This is a physical meeting aimed at equipping the Body of Christ with an intensive Training to create enough awareness for the individual members to discover his or her role so as to play their role in the Great Commission.

MISSIONARY REPORT FROM KENYA FOR SEPTEMBER 2021

Greetings in Jesus Name,

I am thankful for the grace of God in our lives. I am sorry to send this report late but I had travelled home and the network was poor. I and the whole church are thankful for the progress and growth of the church here in Mombasa Kenya. So far 7 more souls have been added to the church in the last one month (see attached photos). We give glory to God for the new-born and also for our mothers in the church who in the last two months have been blessed with babies. We have done dedication of the babies to God for protection and also for spiritual growth.

Keep praying for the ministry here and the Revival of Missions that is due on October this year at Kitui County that’s outside the Mombasa region. We are responding to calls for Spiritual growth and are thankful God is providing a way out. We also had a graduation ceremony for our primary kids grom lower school to upper primary. A colourful even and we thank God for all these.
Be blessed.

From Adonai Partners

Beloved,

We are grateful to the Lord for your generous contribution to support missionaries who are on the front lines serving the Lord in different African countries. Please find attached the formal receipts. Thank you so very much. The funds will be wired to the designated missionaries at the opportune time.

We praise God for the impact your financial contribution is having on the work among unreached people. So we are taking a moment to let you know of the door God has opened for us among the Egbura Koto people in Kogi and Nasarawa States. We are grateful for the success of the recent medical mission there. There were about 40 of us on the team – God took us there from different parts of the country and brought us back home safely. We are grateful that work will begin soon on the mission base to house a team of resident missionaries preparing to live in Aseni and bear incarnational witness for our Lord Jesus Christ and the discipleship of new believers. What is even more amazing is that the Lord is already preparing these missionaries. Please pray for Steve and his wife, Anna, who have already relocated from Bauchi to lead the team on ground.

Please continue to be a voice for these precious people who are waiting to hear the Good News. Who knows whom the Lord would send as we seek strategic investors for the proclamation of the Kingdom among unreached people like Egbura Koto.

We give thanks especially for the open door for us to share the Good News with children in Egbura Koto, considering that this is nearly 100% Muslim. I have attached a photo of the children ministry during our latest mission there – trusting the Lord will use it to inspire intercession for the future of the land that these kids represent.

Again, we thank you for casting your bread upon life giving waters, it will surely come back refreshingly as the Lord has promised.

Sincerely,

Richard

UNREACHED OF THE DAY
Pray for the Hanunoo in Philippines

Southern Shilha Berbers in France

PROFILE
How can the Hanunoo people, living in poverty and worshipping nature spirits, be reached with Jesus’ love? They reside in the far south of Mindoro, one of the Philippine islands. They live in small villages of no more than 50 people on valley slopes overlooking streams. They farm rice, corn, beans, sugarcane and sweet potatoes. The Hanunoo are isolated from medicine and education, along with other aspects of modern life. Their villages are autonomous, with no chiefs.

Ministry Obstacles
Nearly all Hanunoo people practice their own ethnic religion, so their faith is in the power of nature spirits rather than the Creator.

Outreach Ideas
Prayer and translated evangelistic materials are keys to reaching the Hanunoo. Doctors and educators who follow Christ can bring practical help and the gospel. Hanunoo believers can be discipled to share Christ with unreached Hanunoo.

Scripture Focus
“Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”  John 6:35

Scripture Prayer
Pray that this people group hungers for God and begins to feed spiritually on the Bread of life, Jesus Christ.

Prayer Focus
Some Hanunoo are Christian and a segment of those are evangelical. The New Testament and audio Bible teaching are available in the Hanunoo language. Pray for discipleship of Hanunoo believers to share Christ’s message with the unreached. Ask God to stir faithful prayer in Filipino churches for the Hanunoo. Pray the Lord would send prepared witnesses to Hanunoo families and villages. Ask for Disciple Making Movements that spread to the many Hanunoo communities, bringing great blessings to the precious Hanunoo people.

We will not forget to PRAY Nigeria, for the Persecuted Church in Nigeria, for the Families of Executed & Beheaded Martyrs, and also for LEAH, GRACE & ALICE & many victims of Terrorism in Nigeria.

  • The truth to be made known about the fate of Leah Sharibu, Grace Taku, and Alice Ngada as well as other workers captured by Boko Haram and “Herdsmen” terrorists (John 8:32).
  • All Christian captives held by jihadist and terrorist groups in Nigeria to be surrounded by angels and upheld in their faith as they become witnesses living or executed for our Lord Jesus Christ among their captors (Philippians 1:12-13).
  • The supernatural intervention by our Holy God to release Leah and remaining captives from their demonically motivated captors (Acts 16:24-26).

Nigeria’s President Buhari and Nigerian military to be supernaturally moved to action on the part of these captives of Islamic terrorist groups. May their locations be found, and may the government & the military (without knowing what they do, actively intervene on their behalf (Mark 4:22) to set them free.

SPAIN: WAITING FOR YOUR FRIENDS

It is hard watching your friends reject the gospel repeatedly. But in his timing, God can open their eyes. José, a student at the University of Barcelona, recounts a surprising phone call he received from his classmate in the middle of the pandemic.

“During my college years I often prayed for my friends and classmates. But many times, my prayers seemed to bear no fruit. Or at least the fruit did not come in the way that I expected. I was so frustrated by my friends’ refusals to attend evangelical events or activities with me.

So, I was surprised when this year I got a call from my classmate Andrés. He had never shown any interest in Christianity, but suddenly he wanted to talk about faith. I discovered that he was not entirely opposed to God or the Bible but had turned away for various reasons. He had realized that it was time to get close to God again.

So, I suggested that we start an Uncover Bible study. In the beginning, I was a bit nervous. Would his questions be too simple or too philosophical? But the Lord surprised me again. My classmate was very happy with the study. Andrés told me that the Uncover design and structure were particularly appealing to him, very different from what is usually associated with the “traditional” idea of Bible study. While the questions seemed simple at first, they led to much more complex discussions.

By reading the gospel we discovered together with the person of Jesus: who he is, his mission, and what he wants to tell us today. Thanks to the studies and their questions we were able to discuss how these passages challenge us and our lives. We also talked about current issues and our role as Christians in the modern world. We discussed topics like the meaning of life, our pursuit of happiness, and the constant preoccupation with pleasing and seeking fame. I thank God for granting me this opportunity to share his Word in such a practical way!”

This week, pray for the students who are still waiting for their friends to become receptive to the gospel.

  • Pray for the non-believing students whose world has been turned upside down during the pandemic. Pray that they would reach out to their Christian friends for answers.
  • Pray for the Christian students who continue to walk with their non-believing friends, even when they reject the gospel. Pray that they would remain faithful in their witness and not lose hope for their friends.
  • Pray for the Scripture Engagement ministry of IFES. It equips students like José to share Scripture with their friends in a way that is relevant, natural, and powerful. Pray that more students like Andrés will become captivated by the Word of God.

We Remember and Celebrate YOU – Our Partners
As we celebrate God’s Grace and Goodness to the Omega Project 2,  we cannot but remember the SERVICE and SACRIFICES of people like you that built this mission.
“…In the Lord, your labors are not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58) Remain steadfast.
GOD REMEMBERS YOU…AND WE DO TOO.
