Omega Project 2 News to our Partners – February 2021

Dear Faithful Reader & Partner,

I should like to let you know upfront that, for your sake, someone will lose his sleep until you are compensated for everything that did not work, and all undesirable state of affairs in your life and business which you have committed to the Lord, as you tarried at your kingdom watch.  The Lord assured us in His words from the prophecy of Isaiah, that:

“I will exchange your bronze for gold,
    your iron for silver,
your wood for bronze,
    and your stones for iron.
I will make peace your leader
    and righteousness your ruler.”
(Isaiah 60:17 NLT)

The Lord is saying to you that this is a special time.  As the darkness overtakes the world,  the Lord of the Universe will no longer destroy like the days of Noah.  This time, Isaiah prophesies, it’s going to end, not in another destruction according to His old covenant but in God’s salvation.  There will be a glorious reversal.  1 Cor. 15:45-58 (NLT)

There will be compensation in recognition of all unauthorized suffering and difficulties you have undergone for the sake of His Kingdom.
Get ready to receive your compensation because, it will be like the Passover days when He caused His children to “borrow” from their oppressor neighbours and those that “sourjourneth” in their homes, “jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, you also, shall “put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters;.. (Ex. 3:22), as the enemies of your soul shall also be so spoilt in your favour.

According to His word from Esther 6:6–10 it will be like the days of Mordecai, because like Mordecai you sat at your watch at the King’s gate, and suffered in His favour.  In that , you are the man whom the King delights to honour, and they shall make haste to array you in the royal apparel which the king wears, and the horse that the king rides upon, and the crown royal will be set upon your head, and you shall be drawn on horseback through the streets of the city, while they shall proclaim before you “this is the man whom the King delights to honour”. This is the command of the King of kings and the Lord of Lords concerning you.

Through the four Sundays of March, we were refreshed of the wonderful work the Son of God, the soon coming King did on the Cross of Calvary and our portion to do ALL, by the Holy Spirit to publish the Good news of Christ’s death for all sinners to the uttermost ends of the earth.  We were admonished to sit perseveringly at our watch in this Great Commission, because like the days of Noah, it surely has its recompense of reward.
We were brought the revelation through the Word, of the divine paradox in Noah’s single story.  That God showed Himself the justifier of those who put their trust in HIM, and entered the ark that Noah built, and were saved.  While in the same event God punished by death in the flood, everyone who disbelieved Noah and who mocked and despised Noah as he sat faithfully and perseveringly at his watch and built the ark.

Various revelations of this recompense of reward were made through many messages that came to us during the month, but most especially from Matt 20:1-16.  The Kingdom parable of the landowner and the Eleventh-hour workers who did not negotiate with the Lord.  The Landowner said “Go, Go, Go”, and they went without hesitation and even without thinking of “what’s in it for me”.  At the close of day, the Lord of the Harvest who alone knew the value of one more soul, and the little time left, poured out His generosity on the eleventh-hour workers.  He recompensed these ones who forsook all beyond their imagination, and to the gross envy of those who did the work selfishly.
We were yet reminded to sanctify our mind and motives, that our sojourn on earth is not about what we have lost, but about what is coming! (Ps 126:1-6), and our recompense is only and surely rooted in God’s mercy and favour.

So dear faithful reader and Partner, “be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” (1 Cor. 15:58)

Maranatha!

“It’s good work you’re doing, helping these travellers on their way, hospitality worthy of God himself! They set out under the banner of the Name, and get no help from unbelievers. So, they deserve any support we can give them. In providing meals and a bed, we become their companions in spreading the Truth.”

Report From  The Gambia

Beloved

We are humbled by your faithfulness in praying for us as a family, your prayers have sustained us over the years and grateful for your kind and generous support.

We look back and see how much the Lord has done in our 7years of working in Bansang, The Gambia. “For it was little when we came to Gambia and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed us” Genesis 30:30a Paraphrased.

We came as a couple and the Lord added 2 boys and a girl {James, Alikama and Comfort}.

We look back at our 7years and 6months of labour in Bansang, The Gambia and we can say with the prophet Samuel “Hitherto hath the LORD helped us” (1 Samuel 7:12). Samuel was setting a memorial stone “Ebenezer” when he uttered this truth. It was a reminder for his people and for us of where our help and support come from. Your support allows us to create media, proclaim the Good News, and empower Jesus followers.

We arrived in Nigeria March 1st for our furlough, as we will be resting, waiting upon the Lord and preparing for the next chapter of our life.

Thank you for being an important part of our family so far. We praise God for partners like you.

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

The Amos Family

PHOTO REPORT FROM  INDONESIA

Our work
In recent years the number of Javanese, Bugis, Makassarese and other Indonesian ethnic other than Papua has risen in the island of Papua. In the big cities the number of outsiders and local Papua is almost the same.  And majority of outsiders are My*slem background.

Recently we have a training in one of the city, Nabire. About 34 attended the whole theory training.  Another 15 people miss some sessions. Since Friday we hit the road. We have training on the ground for those who have learned the theory.  And in just 3 days on the road we hear a lot of tremendous stories.  New discovery Bible study groups will be started among the Javanese, Bugis, Madurese, etc. It is absolutely amazing.

Please pray:
1.  Many outsiders will come to know the Lord
2. Those who have come to know the Lord will go back to their originate land to evangelize their own people.

Here is some snap shot of the training in the class and their practical training on the ground.

Today we received report from Nabire. The team that are newly trained visits the new believers and the discovery Bible study groups that were newly formed.

In their visit today they met a couple which the wife has problem with her feet. Before she went to shaman and the shaman said there was evil spirit that was send to her feet.  The team then shared she needs God to deliver the evil spirit out from her feet. She and her husband then accepted Jesus in their lives.

Please pray:
1.  More volunteers from other cities will rise up
2. There will be training in Luwu areas on April 7-10. Pray the people who will attend are the people who wants to go out and share the Gospel.

Introduction / History

The Jhalo Malo are a Dalit group of people who live in Bangladesh and India. Malo means “boatman” in Arabic. The traditional occupation of the Jhalo Malo is that of fishing. They fish with nets in the Bay of Bengal and in the rivers of Bangladesh
The Jhalo Malo people are mostly employed in activities related to fishing. Many supervise fish trade while some are employed in fisheries and fishing cooperative societies. Some are self-employed, while others are in salaried jobs. Rural development programs have helped them secure loans for fishing. They have established a caste association for the all-round development of their community.

The Malo also work as landless laborers in agriculture. Unfortunately, the Malo are looked down upon by Hindu and Muslim society. Brahmin castes will not receive food or water from them. Illiteracy is a big problem with many Malo people unable to read or write. The Bangladeshi government is trying to raise the educational and economic levels of the Malo. Much work still needs to be done.

The primary language of the Jhalo Malo is Bengali. Some others speak regional languages of Bangladesh.

Where Are they Located?

The most Jhalo Malo lives in the Bangladeshi states of Dhaka, Rajshahi and Khulna. Smaller groups live in other Bangladeshi states. A large population of Jhalo Malo lives in northeast India.

What Are Their Lives Like?

The lives of the Jhalo Malo are difficult. When fishing is good, they can earn enough money to feed their families. When fishing is bad, they can starve. Landless farm workers often live by the whim of the landowners.

The Jhalo Malo marry within their caste but not within their particular clan or family. Families arrange marriages. Fortunately, child marriage of Jhalo girls is disappearing. Sons inherit their father’s property.

Since most Brahmins refuge to associate with them, the Malo priests officiate at important life ceremonies such as births, weddings and funerals. The Malo dead are cremated often near a river.

The main foods of the Jhalo Malo are fish, rice, curries, vegetables and other grains.

As Hindus, they do not eat beef.

What Are Their Beliefs?
The Jhalo Malo are Hindus and devoted to Vishnu, the preserver god and his avatars, especially Rama and Krishna. Malo are often denied entrance into Hindu temples so they have their own shrines and places of worship.

Hindus believe that by performing rituals and good works that they will attain moksha or freedom from the endless cycle of birth, death and rebirth. The Malo visit shrines and offer prayers, food, flowers and incense to their god Vishnu and his consort Lakshmi.

The main yearly holidays of the Jhalo Malo people are Holi, the festival of colors, Diwali, the festival of lights and Navratri, the celebration of autumn.

What Are Their Needs?

The Jhalo Malo have many spiritual and physical needs. They need help in educating their children. They would benefit by modern medicine. They need help in learning new job skills. Most of all, they need to hear the life changing message of Jesus Christ in a way they can understand.

Prayer Points

* Scripture Prayers for the Jhalo Malo in Bangladesh.

* Pray that the Lord sends Christian workers to help the Jhalo Malo.
* Pray that the Jhalo Malo turn away from Vishnu and open their hearts to Jesus.
* Pray that whole families of the Jhalo Malo are brought to the Savior and that Bible believing churches are planted in the Malo community.

Radical Islamic militants and terrorist groups killed at least 200 people in the last two weeks of December, bringing the number of Nigerian Christians killed in 2020 to 2,400, according to a new report. Nigerian human rights group The International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law released the report that catalogues the killings. Intersociety’s founder and chairman of the board, Emeka Umeagbalasi, said that last December was one of the deadliest months on record for Nigerian Christians. “We’ve noticed an upsurge in the killings. At least one of the reasons that I haven’t relocated to my village is just to monitor what is going on,” he said. “The local media is operating under censorship.”

This recent wave of killings follows a pattern of Islamist violence in Nigeria, he said. Since 2009, over 34,000 Nigerian Christians have been killed and many more have been displaced by the violence. Militants murdered 7 Christians every day in 2020 on average, said Umeagbalasi. At least 495 people were killed by radical Islamists in Southern Kaduna province. In one incident, Islamists stopped cars on a highway at gunpoint and interrogated the travellers to discover if they were Christian. Then, they forced the Christians from their cars and killed 5 who attempted to escape and kidnapped the remaining 35. Kidnappings of Christians Umeagbalasi said, are motivated by money, some are political attacks by the government, some are motivated by Islamic radicalism. Most people kidnapped by Islamic radicals face death or slavery.

Some of the death count includes abducted people presumed dead, Umeagbalasi said. When terrorist groups like Boko Haram, ISWAP and Fulani militants kidnap people, they either kill them or make ransom demands. In many of last month’s cases, the kidnappers sent no ransom demands. Terrorist groups Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province made a vow to step up attacks on Christians. Umeagbalasi said. In December, Boko Haram killed at least 130 Christians, the report said. Fulani tribe Islamist militias killed at least 70. Some of Intersociety’s sources say terrorist groups have attacked more fiercely because they believe Joe Biden’s presidential administration will not advocate for religious freedom in Nigeria, Umeagbalasi said. The Obama administration focused less on fighting Nigerian terrorism than the Trump administration did.

Umeagbalasi said that Nigeria’s government supports or ignores radical Islamist killings. On December 17, Islamists killed a family of eight in the Gora Gan community. The family’s home was in front of a military barracks.  “If the Fulani jihadis can attack and wipe out a family of eight located opposite a military base where soldiers are stationed, it tells you there’s very strong evidence of the conspiratorial nature of the military and the jihadis,” he said. In 2021, Islamist attacks on Nigerian Christians will probably increase, Umeagbalasi said. “We are seeing the continuation and consolidation of the attacks on Christians. There is no hope on the ground that suggests otherwise,” he said. “The security forces are disproportionately composed of Muslims. The Christians are not likely to get protection. Don’t expect the government to do anything.”

  • The supernatural intervention by our Holy God to release Leah and remaining captives from their demonically motivated captors (Acts 16:24-26).
  • Nigeria’s President Buhari and Nigerian military to be supernaturally moved to action on the part of these captives of Islamic terrorist groups. May their locations be found, and may the government & the military (without knowing what they do, actively intervene on their behalf (Mark 4:22) to set them free.
