In May 2005, representatives of several Christian churches in the country signed an agreement with the Government for a 50-year lease on a large piece of property in Doha on which they intend to erect six churches. Pray that this building project will multiply more followers of JESUS and that the church will see more people come to the Lord.

Pray for wisdom for the leading members of the Al-Thani family who have ruled Qatar since the mid-1800s, that they would know how and where to lead the nation. Pray that they will continue to allow the freedom to come together for worshipping God and preaching the Gospel.

Pray that nominalism, immoral and carnality would be greatly reduced in the Christian community in Qatar. Ask that the Lord pour out His grace on the few Christians to live as salt and light among the non-believers.
