Home to over 4.3 billion people and covering an area of 17,212,000 sq miles, the continent contains 48 countries including China, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Myanmar, Cambodia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and the Middle Eastern nations including Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Jordon, Israel, Lebanon, and Iran. Turkey and the Russian federation span across both Europe and Asia.
