SOUTHERN AFRICA
Southern Africa Region comprises the southernmost region of the African sub-continent. It is famous for the export of platinum and diamonds.

WEST AFRICA
Western Africa, lying on the western most region, is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean in the south and west and Sahara desert in the north. It include 16 countries over an area of 5 million sq kms

NORTH AFRICA
North Africa is a geographic and political subdivision of Africa, consisting of eight nations: Western Sahara, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, and South Sudan. These eight nations are separated from the rest of Africa geographically by the Sahara Desert, and all other countries in Africa are collectively referred to as Sub-Saharan Africa.
Not only is North Africa separated physically from the rest of Africa, it is also politically and culturally set apart. The countries of North Africa are part of the Arab world, as members of the Arab League. Most countries in North Africa use Arabic as at least one of their official languages. The people of North Africa are mostly Arabs and Berbers, and most adhere to the Islamic religion.
North Africa is further divided into two smaller regions: Maghreb and the Sahara. The Maghreb region makes up northwestern Africa along the Atlas Mountains, including Western Sahara, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya. The countries in the Sahara region are Egypt, Sudan, and South Sudan.

CENTRAL/EAST AFRICA
Eastern Africa constitutes of 18 territories including the island nations in Indian Ocean. Mt. Kilimanjaro and Lake Victoria are the two striking geographical features in this region.
Middle Africa is a core region of the African continent comprising Angola, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and Sao Tome and Principe.The region is home to over 120 million people.
Democratic Republic of the Congo is the most-populated country in the region; it has a population of 71,712,867. The least-populous of the Middle African countries is Sao Tome and Principe.
Middle Africa is primarily inhabited by the Bantu peoples. The major languages spoken in the region include Chadic and Nilo-Saharan languages. Christianity is the pre-dominant religion; however, a blend of traditional religions is also practiced in the region.
