Isaiah 9:2 “The people who walk in darkness, will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, the light will shine on them.”

The Rashaida of Sudan are a Bedouin people populating either side of the Red Sea, They are largely illiterate, but memorize in great detail the pedigree of their animals, and keep mental records of their herds over seven or eight preceding generations of the flock.  Their nomadic lifestyle makes it especially difficult to build relationships with people.

Pray for political stability in Sudan so that the Rashaida families will be able to live peaceful lives.

Ask that the Gospel message will reach the illiterate Rashaida orally, using stories from Scripture, videos, recordings and similar means. Ask that bridges of friendship be built.

Pray for followers of Christ among these people, that they in all things will grow up into him who is the Head, Christ.
